If you can commit yourself to the time and effort that therapy takes, I can help. I have worked in a variety of settings and with children and teenagers faced with very difficult circumstances. I have worked in the child welfare system as a child protective services investigator and foster care supervisor. I worked in the Circuit Court conducting custody evaluations and was qualified as an expert witness in matters of custody and visitation. I now work full time in a child and adolescent protection center as a clinical social worker, providing crisis management, parental support, and therapy for children and teens who have experienced trauma. With these experiences, I have honed my skill around astute assessment of problem-areas and developing sound, practical goals to help a child or teen feel like life can become more manageable. I believe strongly in the power of being able to bounce back from life’s adversity…no matter what.
